Welcome to the creative and strategic output of my eccentric mind.
From southern China, growing up in an architecture family.
Both my grandfather and father are architect. I was growing up watching them hand drawing design concepts and reading design books in their book shelves. I was lucky to see how their work impacted communities and every individual's life by turning my small hometown into a livable and lively city. This part of experience has strongly influenced me in growing my passion in design and choosing it as my career.
I am a UX designer/Product designer with experience working for a consulting company and two B2B companies.
My thus far UX journey has been primarily focused on providing consulting services for digital application design. I have successfully shipped internal-facing/customer/facing projects for medicare and life sciences companies. Prior to this, I have also served two B2B companies in providing digital products to help businesses improve work efficiency and boost their revenues. I am comfortable with working in an environment that requires collaboration and also taking on ownership of tasks and working independently.
Prior to UX Design, I was an award-winning urban designer who focused on designing user experience in physical spaces.
I attended school for urban design and practiced professionally in urban planning and design for 5 years. My work focuses on design that improves urban spaces in the city, mostly in underserved communities. I have successfully delivered a variety of projects to clients from both public and private sectors. During my first part of my career. I was lucky to grow as a project manager and to lead a design team to deliver award-winning projects. I never regretted this journey and I truly believe that the skills that I honed and the empathy I developed allows me to start off my UX journey easier and be a better UX designer with broader visions.
